New Venue in Steam Museum Swindon

We've a great new cupcake decorating course venue in the Steam Museum in Swindon, the room is lovely and airy and all the participants really appreciate the Steam Museum's staff and the way they treat and look after them on arrival.

The course is 3 hours long and covers a great introduction into cupcake decorating, we've got lots of reviews to allow you to see what people say about us. And we're fortunate in getting a recommended rating from tripadvisor for our reviews as well.

You can book online by visiting our cupcake passion course web site.

Cupcake Course in Bristol

Our cupcake course in Bristol on the 6th of December 2010. It was a great day, meet loads of new people and some fantastic cakes were made, 12 cakes each for 13 people all made within 3 hours. We run this event differently than our shop courses as its run from a village hall and as we have full and open access all day long then everyone stayed for a while longer and just relaxed and enjoyed the event.

Cupcake Childrens Workshops in Bristol

We are running a Cupcake Workshop for children on 5th December 2010 at Frenchay Village Hall in Bristol, the children will be able to come to the event and decorate cupcakes to take home to their family and friends. They will be given advice by our trained cake decorators throughout the day. Even though this is aimed at children, children of ALL ages can take part, so if you've got a spare hour then just come down and take part, the event will run from 10am till 5pm.

There is no baking involved, you will be given hats and aprons to save your own clothes, just in case you get a little enthusiastic with the butter icing. We will show you how to create fondant animals and flowers and decorate them to place on your cakes. Then you'll be taught some butter icing piping techniques and can ask as many questions as you like.

Finally finish off your cupcake with sprinkles of your choice and we'll then package it to take away in one of our cupcake carriers, that's of course if you can wait that long.

We'll also be giving away some of our bakery recipe and tips sheets for you to try at home.

Refreshments are also served at the event. Please note that we currently do not have mobile credit card facilities for this event, so cash only please.

New Cupcake Decorating Course Web Site

Based on some requests we've had for techniques and advice and because Lesley seems to surprise me every time by coming up with something she's done or her mother used to do, we've decided to share all this knowledge. We don't feel comfortable and would never keep our techniques and tips a secret. So "within reason" ;-...) we've started a new web site for called "Cupcake Decorating Course" at http://www.cupcakedecoratingcourse.co.uk/ this is so that we can give our course attendees a refresher on what we've discussed and also so that it gives others that maybe for the moment can't make our courses some ideas.

We're going to keep some of our "special" techniques however for the course where you do get to try lots of tips and cool equipment (before buying them) so don't be shy and book a place now and get baking for your family and friends.

To help us promote this new site and get us to continue to add to it regularily please pass it around and also get people to LIKE us on Facebook would be support enough.

Some Cake Designs with Sugarcraft Decorations

decorate cupcakeHere we've been experimenting with displays for our cakes and we actually prefer this white doily setup. So what we're going to try and do is take a photo in our shop in Wiltshire of every design we do along with some of the sugarcraft decorations as well and at the same time make sure that the cake is in exactly this same position.
